I dumped Augustin for Chalmers yesterday and I am not a huge Chalmers fan.

No chance of a Chalmers type pickup - we're a 12 team league with 13 guys on a team, plus 1 IR spot. Rosters that big leave JJ Redick as the best player availabe on waivers. My question is, should I drop Augustin for the flavor of the week? I'm already cycling 2 other FOW guys in my lineup, but I'm starting to get to the point where I may just go with a 3rd.

That's actually who I was considering - him or Corey Brewer. You'd really drop Augustin for one of those guys? You were so high him 2 weeks ago.

Also, WTF?!

Lakers coach Phil Jackson says he was kidding when he said that Gasol (hamstring) could be out until Christmas, the Los Angeles Times reports.

No minutes, Raja Bell not out for the season, Felton playing well and a compelte disaster of a team.

Depends on what you need, all around I like Brewer better than rolling the dice on a young Knick.

I mean, Augustins upside is what, 14-17, 3-5 dimes, 2 boards and 1.59st.

Look at Brewers stat line.

Big Al will miss the next 2 games due to illness in the family.

I now have 5 of my 1st 7 picks OUT. This is a horror season for the ages.

I don't wanna talk about it.

Pick up CDR, swine flu for a week.

Pick up Speights knee hurt.

I'm down to picking up effing Big Ben to fill my Center hole until K-Love gets back.

Injuries have been out of hand this year.

My team, now ... as it has changed from the beginning of the year:

Nash
Anthony Morrow
Ramon Sessions
Courtney Lee
Randy Foye
ADDED - Eric Maynor
IR - Courtney Lee
GONE - Delonte West

LeBron
Gerald Wallace
Troy Murphy
ADDED - JJ Hickson
IR - Mareese Speights
TRADED - Josh Howard

Shaq
TRADED FOR - Andris Biedrins
ADDED - Eric Dampier

Had injuries all year. Second guard spot has been killing me. That said, I am 2-1 with the 6th most pts in a 16 team league. LeBron, Nash, Wallace have been great.

Made one pretty major trade. Dealt Josh Howard, who I've had since he was a rookie, for Andris Biedrins. Needed another C. Love Biedrins, and was able to buy low on him with a nagging injury and some bad games before he got hurt. Biedrins is a young C who averaged a dbl/dbl last season ... and he has a very low salary (so did Howard). Howard just scares me. Only 53 games last year, and this injury this year has lingering trouble written all over it. I start LeBron every week, so wth Wallace/Murphy ... a 4th forward (start just 5 guys) is not a huge neccesity.

I've added Eric Maynor, JJ Hickson, and Dampier (shockingly solid) in FA ... and dumped Delonte.

I can not recall having a more injury ravaged season in any sport, fantasy or real.

1st round Big Al - not 100% yet, missed 2 games for family illness
2nd round Pau Gasol - yet to play
3rd round Kevin Martin - out at least 8 weeks
5th round Eric Gordon - missed last 4 games, out indefinitely
7th round Tyrus Thomas - out 6 weeks
10th round Leandro Barbosa - missed 4 games
Waiver pickup Kelenna Azubuike - out 5 months
Waiver pickup Mareese Speights - out 8 weeks

I am now trotting out a lineup featuring Will Bynum, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, Beno Udrih, Toney Douglas, Andray Blatche, and Shane Battier.

Every text I get from ESPN regarding an injury features someone on my team. Its almost comical.

How does the S-Jax trade affect the Bobcats rotation? Will Augustin get more playing time now?

Not even going to ask about the Warriors rotation, it is next to impossible to predict Nellie's calls. Although I guess Radmanovic has some value now.

It fucks me and Swerb w/ Crash and it leave Augustin in the same shitty position he was in.

Don't see him getting off the bench anytime soon, barring and injury to Felton.

Picked up Rudy Fernandez a couple days ago; ought to be available in most leagues (only owned in 37% of yahoo leagues) and will be getting minutes with Outlaw down with a broken foot.

Great line tonight: 19 pts, .583/1.000, 4 3's, 4 rebounds, 2 ast, 4 st, 3 TO.

Picked up JJ. I'm convinced.

Yes I know there was no Varejao or Shaq tonight, and yes I know it was vs a very small GS team. Still take JJ's upside over Rafer Alston's.

My 5 starter, 7 reserve, once/week lineup change league team is completely ravaged at this point. Not even worth going to the waiver wire. 5 guys down with injuries. Had 4 Gs that I drafted (Harris, Martin, Hamilton, Curry) and all but Curry have now been hurt most of the season; of course Curry is basically not playing. Al Jeff disappointing and hurt this week, and of course Kevin Love is out; so that's 4 out of the 5 guys I expected to start for my squad (Hamilton supposed to be a reserve).

But hey, I still have Scola healthy! So that's one of my 5 starters!

First trade offer from one of the two stud teams.

Nelson to me and Flynn to him.

Not sure if I want to take it at this point as I would essentially be forfeiting two weeks until K-Love comes back and I can put Jameer on the IR for a slight upgrade (mainly just threes and more consistency). But Flynn also may burn out at any time... uhg.

May try and make it bigger.

Any thoughts.

Alright I made that trade, second trade is my big question.

Guy wants to do Blake Griffin for Gerald Wallace. There is no way I am winning the league this year, but since it is a keeper league I could add Blake at $3 to Tyreke at $3 and Hibbert at $1, which would be silly heading into the draft next year and I could have a solid second half team.

Thoughts?

Nelson just hasn't looked the same to me this year. This latest injury isn't going to help that. Ain't he out 4-6 weeks, not 2? I've got Flynn in my second league (non-dynasty) and am actually trying to sell high on him right now though. Sessions is eventually get more time, eat some time from Flynn once he hits the rookie wall in Jan/Feb.

Yeah, but K-Love gets back in 2 so I can IR him.

Real torn on this Blake thing. Do I go dynasty style and just punt the year?

You got enough youth. Id keep Wallace. Solid fantasy player, established, not yet in his prime.

This is going to drive me insane until I make a call. Essentially it comes down to if I think Blake would be a significant upgrade to K-Love as a keeper.

Damn you for getting hurt K-Love, damn you.

But you may be right and w/ only three keepers those to get somewhat redundant (unless Blake goes apeshit).

I did the Nelson trade for the exact reasons you highlighted above. Very similar numbers (w/ more threes from Nelson) and the huge rookie wall factor.

If you're ready to give up on this season, make the trade. Even if you have the 3 guys you already want to keep, it can't hurt to have a 4th so that you have a choice at the end of the season of which 3 to keep. Very likely that one of them won't look as appealing 5 months from now. If Griffin blows up, you won't regret it.

Was offered CP3 and Dahntay Jones for Pau Gasol and Eric Gordon. He drafted Jennings in the final round so he's ok with moving Paul.

I'm leaning towards accepting the deal. Any input?

No.

I drafted Al Jefferson, Scola, and Pau at Center, plus I just added both Dalembert and Perkins off waivers in one day, so I can afford to move a Center. I get lowball offers for Al everyday, but this is more in line with what I'm looking for.

Geezes Christ, I do that in a second.

I do that trade yesterday.

He is going to regret that immensely down the line.

Jennings, as much as I love him, is shooting 50% from 3 right now, only like 43% on long 2's and like 26% around the rim. W/ that slanted of scoring production he is bound to cool way the eff down and Paul is, well he's fucking Chris Paul. Gordan has far more value in a keeper league than non at this point but Dahntay is playing out of his head this year and not bad. Not to mention that Jennings doesn't even have a ten dime game yet. Still think my man Reke ends up ROY, FTR.

Christ, that is just a silly trade for the other guy, IMO.

FTR: I traded Love and Jameer for Ben Gordon and Lamar the other day. I effing hate Lamar, but needed a scoring punch and am still pretty deep in the front court (even w/ Hibbert losing minutes like mad because O'Brien wants to run run run). But I already miss K-Love, another one of my man crushes. May need to make another move shortly.

Anthony Randolph was just dropped outright in my league.

I'm currently 2nd on the waiver wire with an outstanding waiver claim for Perkins which will kick in tomorrow morning. Clearly I cancel that claim and put one in for Randolph, no? A week ago this was a no-brainer. Now I'm torn.

Perkins or Randolph?

How is Perk on the waiver wire, he is playing dirty right now?

Randolph, for all of the upside is going to give you a migraine. I love Randolph, but gawd bless you if you jump into that stupidity (meaning lack of consistent position or minutes) and lord only knows what will happen when Nellie, Biedrins and Turiaf get back.

Ranolph is an incredible enigma, Perk is a steady rock. What you need is up to you though.

BTW: Perk is averaging a double double in his last five.

Perk was dropped in order to pick up AI off of waivers by the most stacked team in my league. Somehow the dumbass didnt realize it severely weakened his team by leaving him with only 1 center. He compensated by dropping Randolph for Bonner. Essentially he traded Perk and Randolph for AI and Bonner.

You summed it up great there. That really wraps up my dilemma in one sentence.

Pulled off a trade last night that could potentially save my season.

Traded Pau Gasol, Eric Gordon, and Samuel Dalembert (who I picked up 2 weeks ago)

for

Jason Kidd and Dwyaaane Waaade!!!!

Oh and I ended up getting both Kendrick Perkins AND Anthony Randolph off waivers. So over the last week my team has gone through the following changes:

OUT:
TJ Ford, Will Bynum, Vladimir Radmanovic, Pau Gasol, Samuel Dalembert, Eric Gordon
IN:
Dwyane Wade, Jason Kidd, Anthony Randolph, Kendrick Perkins, CJ Watson, + any random guy I'll have to pick up once the trade goes thru tomorrow morning.

Just WOW. A week ago it was turning in to a lost season. Now? Kevin Martin's return will make me the deepest team in the league.

My team is really coming together, grabbed Felton off waivers and everyone is getting healthy. Got burned hard by dealing Love a day before news he was coming back six weeks before I expected broke, but beyond that all is well.

That said, holding into Crash when Blake was supposedly coming back and I was panicking about the S-Jax trade crushing his value has single handily saved my squad.

Now I have another offer for Blake in front of me: give up CDR and Felton for Brewer, W Chandler and Blake. I give up the two better healthy players, hurt my weaker categories a bit (I crush boards every week no questions asked) and lose my IR spot again, but damn it could pay off in the long run and intermediate future. Any thoughts?

And and Cavstribeeverything, peeps in your league are absurd. You have to be playing w/ some idiots, as they have just offered you some nice nice packages.

6-1 through 7 weeks for me.

Morrow has stepped up big to be a nice 2nd guard to Nash for me. Waived Foye and was able to snag Mike Conley Jr (and his 7mm salary) off waivers. Lee has emerged. Guard situation has improved. Sessions still providign nothing.

Forwards ... with LeBron, Gerald Wallace, Troy Murphy ... I am filthy there. Speights gonna come off DL. Still have Hickson.

Center ... Shaq has been blah. Added Krstic and Josh Boone. Biedrins also close to coming off DL.

This is a 16 team league. Best record. 3rd most points. Liking where Im at.

Beidrins and Speights are huge aces in the hole, considering everything else man.

Real nice position to be in.

Almost as nice as having LBJ in a 16 team league, w/ is just stone cold wrong.

Dynasty league too. Playoffs all 7 years. Two titles, one 2nd place finish, one 3rd. 4 of 7 years in top three.

Also ... with Biedrins at 1.2mm, Wallace at 800k, Morrow and Lee for a little over a mill ... I am about 4 mill under the cap, even after adding Conley's 7mm salary.

Also own the 1st rd pick next year of a team that will be in next years lottery. A shot at the PG Wall from UK.

Team was decimated by injuries (J. Howard, Nelson, Kirilenko, Speights) and was trying to compete with 2 guys injured nearly every week, plus had dropped Nelson and Speights. Was winning rebounds and blocks with shots at FG% and 3 pointers. Already fell behind and needed a major acquisition. Eff it, dropped some of the schmucks I was carrying, deciding I wasn't getting more than 3 or 4 points out of 9 per week doing this and reacquired my dropped players plus Kevin Martin and Blake Griffin.

I'm still winning blocks and FG% plus winning TO every week. Speights is just about back, Kirilenko and Howard are healthy, Nelson back next week, Griffin hopefully the end of the month, and Kevin Martin (the key to the strategy) in January. Looking for a strong new year to make up some ground and squeak into the playoffs.

G: Gil, Nelson, Martin, Richardson
F: Kirilenko, Griffin, Bosh, Bargnani, Howard, and Speights
C: Howard and Perkins

Feeling very confident that adding Martin will get me over the hump from being a 4 or 5 cat team to being a 7 cat.

Team is rolling smoothly along now with all my acquired guns.

PG: Baron and Kidd
SG: Wade and Udrih (also SG) and Kevin Martin
SF: Jeff Green (+PF), Battier, and Ilyasova (+PF)
PF: Scola (+C), Speights (+C), Anthony Randolph (+SF)
C: Big Al (+PF) and Perk

Once Kevin Martin comes back I'll be unstoppable. The 3 areas I'm weakest in now (FT%, 3s, and points) are his strongest areas. I'm also trying like hell to move Udrih before Martin's return. I've been packaging him with Scola in potential trades, as Scola offers nothing outside the 2 most readily available categories (points and rebounds).

I have an empty spot and am deciding between Yi Jianlian, Earl Watson, and Jerryd Bayless. Bayless obviously has the most upside, but not really much opportunity. Any thoughts?

What do you guys think of this trade? Leaning towards making it, but seems pretty even:

Give up: Jason Richardson, Andrea Bargnani, and Mareese Speights
Get: Rajon Rondo, Tyreke Evans, and Anthony Randolph

He is a little G heavy and I am a little F heavy.

Tough call. Obviously its a non keeper league. Tyreke is gonna hit the wall here at some point. You'd be buying high.

Wild cards are Randolph and Speights. Both put up incredible #'s per minute, but the consistency, both in their play ... and minutes ... is a little helter skelter.

I do that in a heartbeat. You take a pretty significant hit in 3s, but the gigantic uptick in steals and assists more than outweighs that.

Put another way, I'd even trade Speights and Bargnani for just Rondo alone. So in my book, you're getting Tyreke and Randolph for J-Rich.

No brainer AFAIC.

He forgot to tell you that he's in the shittiest division in the league.
