Mike Stein is a reformed sportswriter. Seven days into his first newspaper job he was covering a Pittsburgh Steelers game at Three River Stadium. But don't hold that against him. Mike saw Eric Metcalf return two punts for touchdowns in his trip to a Browns game, almost caught a soccer ball kicked into the stands by Cleveland Force forward Ali Kazemaini at the Richfield Coliseum, sat in Loudville for most every Cavs game last season, and actually went to five Indians games this past September. (He saw the Tribe score two runs in those games.)
After stints at the Steubenville Herald-Star and Lorain Morning Journal (and going into the Steelers locker room too many times), Mike decided to become a librarian. Now he keeps his sportswriting toe in the water at his blog GodHatesClevelandSports.wordpress.com, where he focuses on the dark cloud in front of the silver lining of Cleveland sports.
