Alright, something just doesn't make sense to me...

The hiring of a new manager for an absolutely pitiful football team. (#1)
The hiring of a new manager for a baseball team that is just as embarressing.(#4)
A football player getting into a fight and being traded, from a terrible team that he continuously insulted. (#5)
Trading two basebal lplayers away from a bad baseball team, which didn't help in the end. (#6)
The Browns beating the chiefs and setting new meaningless records when in the end they still finished with only 5 wins. (#9)

How are these moments, which are embarressing to admit are the shining moments in a year of Cleveland sports, more meaningful and praised than the event of what a magical season Cleveland State Basketball had??

Cleveland State was the ONLY Cleveland team to walk away with a conference championship in 2009, and can pretty much be declared the most successful athletic team in Cleveland, OH for 2009. With the Browns and Indians being a joke, and the Cavs choking in the end (as always), that leaves Cleveland State, which actually didn't embaress the city. CSU blew out their first round opponent in the tournament (Nationally Ranked- Wake Forest). After winning 3 straight games in their conference tournament, they went to Butler, IN to upset the nationally ranked Bulldogs to earn the championship and boast a NCAA tournament bid. Not to mention CSU's HUGE upset earlier in the season over #11 Syracuse with a full court buzzer-heave. To beat a ranked team IN THEIR HOUSE, is pretty spectacular.

But obviously this site has its priorities a little messed up, soncidering they act as thought "Ohio State Athletics" have ANYTHING to do with Cleveland. Get that into all of your heads. OHIO STATE = COLUMBUS. Just as The Beartcats belong to Cincinnati. Show some support for your own teams. It's sad when you look at this city and see how people give no support to their own teams. That's just the mentaility of Cleveland I guess. :fu:

Coming from the biggest CSU fan here, this is not a good way to introduce yourself.

CSU gets its fair share of coverage on this site (some of which I provide) and this was the FIRST place to pay attention.

I understand your frustration, you're just directing it at the wrong people.

Exactly, +1

Its okay to disagree and as a CSU Alumni, I would love to see more people interested in the program, even if they are having some growing pains this year. However, CSU sports is always going to take a back seat to the Big 3 and here in America, people have the freedom of speech. Although I would like to see CSU higher, this was a well written article (like all I have read from the author) and you should respect his point of view as well.

Listen to Leo, there are better ways to introduce yourself to this board.
